Klein River Cheese crafts 4 styles and 11 types of exceptional artisan South African cheese. The Klein River Cheese Farmstead has been producing cheese for over 25 years with a team of highly experienced and dedicated cheesemakers. Situated near Stanford, an art and foodie heritage village surrounded by a lazy, meandering river, lush forest and the voluptuous Klein River Mountains, the farmstead produces cheese year-round. The Klein River Gruberg Mature collected a gold medal and best South African cheese on show. Klein River Cheese also scooped coveted silver medals for its Gruberg Vintage, Raclette and Overberg.

Flowing from the success of last years’ awards, Klein River Cheese (SA Dairy Champs 2022) walked away with no less than 11 medals including 2 Qualité Awards for Gruberg Young and Gruberg Mature – the ultimate stamp of outstanding product quality in the dairy industry.

In addition to the prestigious Qualité Awards bestowed, the evening was highlighted by 5 golds for their Gruberg Young, Gruberg Mature, Colby, Smoked Stanford and Overberg. Moreover, three silvers went to Gruberg Vintage, Parmesan, and Danbo, with Stanford snagging a bronze.
